We wish you a merry Christmas ( written in English )
A few days to go before we celebrate Christmas, and this means a few days left for preparation.
My to do lists are made and the good news is that some tasks are already accomplished.
Unfortunately, I am an overthinker and suffer from a mild degree of perfectionism, no wonder that this situation generates stress for myself, but gets reflected on the guests as well.
My golden advice to manage stress is: “Plan me-time and let the preparation be just as valuable to yourself as the party itself. Have fun and stay focused.”
How do I execute the above mentioned advice, by extra meditation. Meditation reduces stress and increases focus. Just half an hour a day. A pink light meditation works the best for me. Simple and efficient. Let the pink light run into your body and send it to everyone you love. It gives me energy and I feel much better after one session.
For me it works well, but this doesn’t mean it will be effective for all of us.
Other ways to de-stress are: having a walk in the woods and observing the surrounding nature or reading a good book that brings you into another world.
Or what about a wellness evening in your own bathroom?
Can be super relaxing. Light some scented candles, warm soft towels, use oils and creams to create that extra spa feeling. I usually put on some music to complete the wellness setting. Try out Tibetan or Indian Yoga music that brings a healing effect and removes negative energy. For my face I use a fine scrub and mask. I finish my spa session by painting my nails.
Are you fully prepared for the Xmas party? Think about what Christmas means besides snow, Rudolph, lights, gifts and good food. It is also a momentum to reflect on the problems in the world and how to support each other.
I am grateful I am safe and sound with my family and enjoy each other’s company.
We wish you a Merry Christmas.
